President Obama will attend the 2016 Hannover Messe

President Obama will attend the Hannover Messe held on April 24th, 2016 since America stands as the partner country of this global manufacturer’s trade exhibition. 2016 Hannover Messe will be held on April 24th to 29th.

In a December 30th statement, the White House confirmed the fact that President Obama would attend 2016 Hannover Messe. “It is the first time that the sitting US president to attend Hannover Messe, and it is also a golden opportunity for America to demonstrate its creativity and originality, to demonstrate that the United States is the best investment destination.” White House Press said, “President Obama will do his most to facilitate the transatlantic trade and the negotiation about the Investment Partnership Agreement.”

The officials of Hannover Messe can’t be more excited upon this. “The attendance of President Obama is a hint of the global appeal of Hannover Messe,” Doctor Jochen K?ckle, the Governing Council member of Hannover Messe, announced that, “and timing is just perfect. We have to admit that America is the very attractive industrial partner in the process of its domestic reindustrialization. As for German machinery and plant manufacturers, America again becomes the No.1 market.”

The officials of Hannover Messe announced that, by far, there were already more than 250 American manufacturing companies registering for the exhibition. US Department of Commerce hopes to work together with American manufacturers that are in constant contact with the potential German and European partners.

German chancellor Angela Merkel will attend the opening ceremony of 2016 Hannover Messe held on April 24th, 2016 together with American President Obama. In general, partner countries will present wonderful cultural performances. On April 25th, President Obama and Chancellor Merkel may tour the exhibition and pay a visit to various stands.

The White House claimed in the statement that, “That will be Obama’s fifth visit to German, which highlights the longstanding political and economic relations between America and German, and also America’s commitment to creating employment and facilitating the driving force of economic growth of the two countries by means of trade and investment.”

Once standing as the partner country, the head of the state will attend the opening ceremony of Hannover Messe. This is the tradition, so President Obama just follows it all the same. In 2012, Prime Minister Jiabao Wen attended the opening ceremony; Russian President Vladimir Putin and India Prime Minister Mr Modi also attended the opening ceremony in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
